Senior IT Specialist - Disaster Recovery Your job is to support clients in disaster recovery and ransomware remediation as necessary to resume business operations quickly and safely.
This is often an emergency that requires us to fly or drive onsite at a moment's notice to restore or rebuild infrastructure.
Because every incident is different, you must be well-rounded and have a diverse skillset.
You will often need to create a quarantine network or VLAN and rebuild or restore the infrastructure onto that temporary network until the disaster is over and you can move the client back to production.
Speed is of the essence.
In the process of recovering these environments, you will need to evaluate and recommend security improvements and system upgrades.

Ability to travel with last-minute notice:
often the afternoon beforeTechnicians must be able to be onsite in any US state for up to 2 weeks at a time (worst case).
Typical engagements are 1-week rotations (1 week onsite, 1 week remote)Nice to have:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
